Rune Holta returns to Włókniarz Częstochowa. A Norwegian with a Polish passport became involved with the so-called “Warsaw contract”, that is, an agreement with no start guarantee.

Holta’s contract with Włókniarz is rather a polite agreement, so that an experienced speedway rider could find a new club at any time and be loaned to it. Unless he takes up the fight for the squad and wants to “beat” one of the basic riders, but that is not going to happen at the moment.

Let us add that this is another return of Rune Holta to the club from Częstochowa. He represented Włókniarz in 1999-2000, 2002-2005, 2010, 2013-2014, 2017 and 2020. His greatest successes include the DMP gold medal (2003) and the Team World Cup gold (2005, 2007 and 2010). Individually, he has two polish championship golds to his credit – he won in 2003 and 2007.

In the previous season, he competed in the ROW Rybnik in the eWinner 1. liga, where he recorded an average of 2,148 points per run.
