Wilki Krosno, the Polish Wolves, won the 2 League in impressive style, not losing a single point along the way. They enter the record books as only the second ever team to achieve this feat, the only other one being Grudziadz way back in 2003.

At the other end of the table, German team, Wolfe Wittstock – Germany’s Wolves, made history in the last match of the season when Celine Liebmann became the first women to score points in Polish speedway history with 2 from 2 heats on Friday.

Not surprisingly 4 of the top 5 scorers on heat averages were Krosno Wolves riders. They were lead by Russian rider, Vadim Tarasensko who participated in all 10 of the team’s league matches and scored a near faultless, 2.652. The 26 year old also played a pivotal role in Masarna’s league win in the Elitserien Sweden so he should have a strong hand in his contract negotiations contracts for 2021.

In my next article we will have a look at the English speaking and Scandinavian riders’ results in this league.
