Artem Laguta’s first ever SGP victory last night may have been a surprise for some.

But not for those who saw his performance on 10 July when Grudziadz came as visitors to Wroclaw. Although his team lost heavily, the Russian scored 16 from 6 heats.

That makes him the highest scoring rider at the track this season. The only Wroclaw rider to come near that score was Maksym Drabik who scored 14+1 against bottom of the table Rybnik.

Emil Sayfutdinov is the next highest scorer as a visitor at Wroclaw when he scored 14 for Leszno. Meanwhile, British 3 times world champion, Tai Woffinden, has twice scored 13 points on his home track – once against Rybnik and also against then earlier in Round 4 against ZielonaGóra.

Although the riders are used to an intensive schedule fatigue could play a big part in tonight’s second round SGP competition at the same venue. So, I am going for Emil Sayfutdinov to win and show why he is currently top rider in Ekstraliga after only 7th place on Friday.
