Since last weekend, the Polish national speedway team has been staying in England. On Saturday and Sunday polish riders took part in the final Speedway of Nations tournament. From Manchester, the riders went to Glasgow, where today they will face the England team. It turns out that the team’s escapade to the Speedway of Nations was not cheap.

Traditionally, the Polish Motor Association had to bear the costs related to our team’s trip to the Speedway of Nations finals. What should you take care of when organizing such a trip? Of course, you must bear the costs of travel, accommodation, meals or other expenses necessary in the place where the staff is stationed. We asked the chairman of GKSŻ, Piotr Szymański, about the costs related to such a trip.

– When it comes to the costs related to the team’s trip to SON, the entire three-day trip of the full staff fluctuated around PLN 200,000 (around 37000 GBP). This amount included, among others, the costs of travel, accommodation, meals, co-financing and prizes for riders from PZM – Piotr Szymański tells us.

Taking the opportunity, we asked if the Polish riders could count on additional financial rewards for winning the silver medal from sponsors of the Polish speedway team.

– At the moment, we are not able to say whether our representatives will receive additional gratuities from the sponsors of our team. We’re in Glasgow and our focus is today’s competition. Too early for any binding answers – commented our question Piotr Szymański.
