Rainy tournament in Glasgow. British speedway riders slightly better than Poles

The Polish representatives at the stadium in Glasgow were filled to the brim, trying to repay the Great Britain for losing the SoN final in Manchester. Wednesday’s competition ended after 12 heats, and the hosts turned out to be better again, triumphing 36:35. Dan Bewley scored the most points for locals.

The first run was fantastic for the locals. Chris Harris and Tom Brennan, well acquainted with the local track, easily won the double victory against Kubera and Musielak. The second race looked a bit better for the Polish national team. Jakub Miśkowiak took the second position quickly after the start, chasing Daniel Bewley. However, in the second lap the Pole was overtaken by Adam Ellis, then the hosts took the lead 5: 1. Miśkowiak did not give up and showed an amazing will to fight. Finally, at the finish line, the representative of Poland was better by a spoke gleam.

Dangerous situation happened to Jakub Miśkowiak. Both riders have crashed, junior of polish club Eltrox Włókniarz Częstochowa has been excluded from the race but that’s not the most important. After the accident it turned out that Jakub Miśkowiak suffered from pain and he wouldn’t be able to continue the meeting.

Great tournament was cancelled after 12 heats due to strong rain. Track became dangerous for riders and there was a clever decision to stop this. Poles didn’t take revenge on UK riders, they lost by one point!
