Poland’s team captain and Dominik Kubera, put in a big performance when it counted to win the U21 Team World Championship in Outrup, Denmark tonight.

The Leszno rider won the final heat of the evening whilst Denmark and Motala Piraterna’s Jonas Seifert-Salk only came in third to seal the victory 46-42.

Joker makes a difference
Earlier, in Heat 6, the Pole won when he was a Joker doubling his points total to 6 for that heat. But Denmark were unable to convert their chance when the Joker was played. The UK’s Daniel Bewley was the only other rider to win his Joker heat. The young Britain made his first return to speedway after several damaging his shoulder blade in a BMX accident in July.

Latvia lag behind
Latvia struggled to keep up with their rivals despite having Oleg Michailov (0) and Francis Gusts (top score with just 3) in the team who both have been racing with Lokomotiv Daugavpils in eWINNER1 this season.
