British newspaper, The Daily Star has announced that Australian three times World Champion, Jason Crump will race in the British national championship.

The 45 year old was born in Bristol, England when his dad, Phil, raced in the UK and he also went to school in the country before moving to Australia.

Although he twice has won the Australian national championship (in 1995 and 2007), he has never given up his British citizenship and therefore is eligible to race in the British championships on 26 September.

Crump had planned a surprise return to the UK when he was signed for Ipswich Witches for the 2020 season. However, with the season cancelled he has chosen a different route to make his first race on British shale for 11 years.
